Hours of Operation / Contact Information

Our hours are Monday through Friday in keeping with the academic (green and gold) calendar.

• CAPS receptionists are available by phone and email as follows:
• Phone hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:45am - noon and 1:00-4:15pm, Tuesday & Thursday 9:45am-noon and 1:00-4:15pm
• Call us at 707-826-3236.  Please note our phone lines can get very busy.  If you have trouble reaching us by phone, email us your phone number and we will call you back.
• For general inquiries M-F, CAPS reception can be reached by email at humboldtcaps@humboldt.edu.  Please note, emails received after 4:30 p.m. on Fridays will be handled on Monday morning. 
• CAPS is open for services (such as individual therapy, consultations, crisis services, and groups) as follows:
• Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8:45 am to 5 pm (final appointment of the day no later than 4:15 pm).
• Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:45 am to 5 pm (final appointment of the day no later than 4:15 pm).
• Please note, if you need to speak with a therapist outside of CAPS hours, TimelyCare offers telehealth sessions to students at any time. Crisis "Talk Now" sessions are available 24/7. You can sign into TimelyCare here using your Humboldt credentials. Please see this page of the CAPS website for more info on the services they offer. 
• In emergency situations, you should call Humboldt County Mental Health at 707 445-7715 or dial 911. If there is an immediate safety risk, you should always call 911 as the police can offer the fastest and best assistance.
