Jamie Gutierrez, AMFT
Post-Master's Resident
My name is Jamie and I am a Post Master’s resident here at CAPS. I was born and raised in Southern California. I moved to Humboldt in 2018 with the goal of pursuing my bachelors. I completed my bachelors in Psychology in 2022 and then went into the Counseling Master’s program soon after. I recently obtained my M.A in Counseling Psychology from Cal Poly Humboldt. As a Latina, I remember the struggle of adjusting to Humboldt due to trying to “fit in.” Through my experience with culture shock and inclusivity, I understand the importance of needing support and look forward to continuing to serve this community.
